Civil-Military Relations with Dr. Richard H. Kohn

Please join us online for a talk on “Civil-Military Relations: What They Are, Why They Matter, and How to Think About Them” with Dr. Richard H. Kohn.

Dr. Kohn is a leading authority on civil-military affairs in the United States.  In addition to his long and distinguished academic career, Dr. Kohn served in the Senior Executive Service with the Department of the Air Force.  He also taught at the U.S. Military Academy, The National War College, The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and held the Omar N. Bradley Chair of Strategic Leadership at the U.S. Army War College.

Dr. Kohn is Professor Emeritus of History and Peace, War, and Defense at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He earned his Ph.D. in History at UW–Madison.
