Conference for Early-Career Women in Political Theory and Constitutional Studies

This event has passed.

@ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

CSLD co-sponsored an event with the Center for Citizenship and Constitutional Government at the University of Notre Dame on January 13, 2023. Our director, Rick Avramenko helped to organize the conference, where attendees were given the opportunity to present an abstract from one of their papers and receive feedback from both attendees and participants in the conference.

The goal of the event was not only to provide feedback for these scholars so that they can perfect their craft, but also to encourage young female faculty to learn more about finding a work-life balance. Participants came from all levels of higher education, and key speakers included Arlene Saxhouse, who chaired the conference. She talked about the evolution of political theory and the role that women have played in it more recently. Those who participated in the conference will be published in the Political Science Reviewer, in a 2023 issue.
