From Leo XIII to Leo XIV: Social Thought in the Modern Papacy

Undergraduate students are invited to register for this free, half-day seminar exploring the topic of Catholic social thought (CST) and its connection to the new American pope, Leo XIV. Participants will be introduced to foundational texts, such as the famous papal letter Rerum Novarum, penned by Pope Leo XIII, to recent speeches by Pope Leo XIV. The seminar will consider the application of CST principles to modern-day challenges in the areas of labor, property ownership, and emerging technologies.
Seminar participation includes a free copy of all readings (provided ahead of time), and a catered lunch and dinner. Apply by September 22nd. Space is limited. All undergraduate students, in any year and course of study, are invited to apply.
