CSLD director Richard Avramenko and graduate fellow Michael Promisel’s piece “When Toleration Becomes a Vice: Naming Aristotle’s Third Unnamed Virtue” has recently been published in leading political science journal, the American Journal of Political Science. They suggest that toleration, an important part of modern liberalism, is an Aristotelian virtue with vices both of excess and deficiency.
